***How is Gopala Krishna, different from us? ***
When we encounter a quarrel in daily life, we end up blaming
others and others blame us. This is mutual. Nobody agrees that he or she was
wrong. Nobody accepts blame with open heart. However, Supreme Lord Sri Krishna
accepts all defaming with open heart. His father had more than about 1 million
cows. Thus they had plenty of milk, butter and curd. Still Krishna would go out
to steal butter, well aware of that fact that people will call Him thief.
Cowherd women while churning, meditated upon His pastimes
and had a keen desire that somehow, Krishna should come to their house to eat
butter. And Krishna always obliged as He is always keen to fulfil desires of
His devotees. He is renowned as Butter-thief (makhan-chor), and He is not
annoyed. In our society, if we address anyone as a thief, he or she is never
pleased.
