***KARMAYOGA (Work for GOD) in Bhagavad Gita: EASY Explanation by Lord SHRI KRISHNA***

***KARMAYOGA (Work for GOD) in Bhagavad Gita: EASY Explanation by Lord SHRI KRISHNA***

Arjuna said:
O KRISHNA, first of all You ask me to renounce work, and then again You recommend work with devotion. Now will You kindly tell me definitely which of the two is more beneficial?

Lord Shri Krishna replied:
" The renunciation of work and work in devotion are both good for liberation. But, of the two, work in devotional service is better than renunciation of work."

“ One who neither hates nor desires the fruits of his activities is known to be always renounced. Such a person, free from all dualities, easily overcomes material bondage and is completely liberated, O mighty-armed Arjuna.

“ Only the ignorant speak of devotional service [karma-yoga] as being different from the analytical study of the material world [Sankhya]. Those who are actually learned say that he who applies himself well to one of these paths achieves the results of both.

“ One who knows that the position reached by means of analytical study can also be attained by devotional service, and who therefore sees analytical study and devotional service to be on the same level, sees things as they are.

“ Merely renouncing all activities yet not engaging in the devotional service of the Lord cannot make one happy. But a thoughtful person engaged in devotional service can achieve the Supreme without delay.

“ One who works in devotion, who is a pure soul, and who controls his mind and senses is dear to everyone, and everyone is dear to him. Though always working, such a man is never entangled.

“ A person in the divine consciousness, although engaged in seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, moving about, sleeping and breathing, always knows within himself that he actually does nothing at all. Because while speaking, evacuating, receiving, or opening or closing his eyes, he always knows that only the material senses are engaged with their objects and that he is aloof from them.

“ The yogīs, abandoning attachment, act with body, mind, intelligence and even with the senses, only for the purpose of purification.

“ The steadily devoted soul attains unadulterated peace because he offers the result of all activities to Me; whereas a person who is not in union with the Divine, who is greedy for the fruits of his labour, becomes entangled.

***DIVINE BEAUTY OF LORD SHRI KRISHNA***

***DIVINE BEAUTY OF LORD SHRI KRISHNA***

A devotee says:
“I adore Banwari Krishna. The Divine body of Lord Shri Krishna has the bluishness of the sky. The beauty of millions of Kamdev’s could be sacrificed on the beauty of each pore of Shri Krishna’s body. Whose heart would not be captivated by looking at the black curly hair of Shri Krishna? I adore His peacock feather diadem and yellow silken clothing. Even God Shiv and Shukdeo are drowned in His love when they see Shri Krishna. The beauty of thousands of Ratis (wife of Kamdev) can be sacrificed on His sweet smile. I adore the beauty of Shri Krishna’s golden ear-pendants and nose-pearl, the beautiful bangles that adorn His wrists, and the beautiful kaustubh jewel that adorns His chest. The beauty of His elegant peetambar (yellow silken shawl) and the pretty kachni (silken scarf tied around His waist), the jeweled waistband around His waist, and jingle-bells of the anklets on His feet, are heart enticing. I adore the Divine glow of Krishna’s toenails.”

That man with endless devotion,
Who chants the thousand names,
Of He who is the Lord of the Universe,
Of He who is the God of Gods,
Of He who is limitless,
Would get free,
From these bondage of life, cruel
He who also worships and prays,
Daily without break,
That Purusha who does not change,
That Vishnu who does not end or begin,
That God who is the lord of all worlds,
And Him, who presides over the universe,
Would loose without fail,
All the miseries in this life.
Chanting the praises,
Worshipping and singing,
With devotion great,
Of the lotus eyed one,
Who is partial to the Vedas,
Who is the only one, who knows the dharma,
Who increases the fame,
Of those who live in this world,
Who is the master of the universe,
Who is the truth among all those who has life,
And who decides the life of all living,
Is the dharma that is great.
That which is the greatest light,
That which is the greatest penance,
That which is the greatest brahmam,
Is the greatest shelter that I know.
Please hear from me,
The thousand holy names,
Which wash away all sins,
Of Him who is purest of the pure,
Of That which is holiest of holies,
Of Him who is God among Gods,
Of That father who livesWithout death,
Among all that lives in this world,
Of Him whom all the souls,
Were born at the start of the world,
Of Him in whom, all that lives,
Will disappear at the end of the world,
And of that the chief of all this world,
Who bears the burden of this world.

***Secrets of Karmayoga(Path of Service) as told by

Supreme Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna-***

***Wisdom of The Bhagavat Gita and its Eternal Truth-***

Supreme Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna:

“You have control over doing your respective duty, but no control or claim over the result. Fear of failure, from being emotionally attached to the fruit of work, is the greatest impediment to success because it robs efficiency by constantly disturbing equanimity of the mind.”
“A farmer is responsible for working his land yet has no control over the harvest. But, if he does not work his land he cannot expect a harvest. “

“The boundary of one’s jurisdiction ends with the completion of one’s duty. Do your duty to the best of your ability, O Arjuna, with your mind attached to the Lord, abandon worry and attachment to the results. Remain calm in both success and failure. Such selfless service brings peace and equanimity of the mind.”

*** The Story of Dhruva ***

*** The Story of Dhruva ***

"Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya"

Dhruva was the son of king Utthanpada and Suniti. King Utthanpada was very fond of his second wife, Suruchi, and used to be mean to Suniti, Dhruva's mother. One day, when Dhruva was five years old, his step-brother was sitting on his father's lap. Dhruva also wanted to sit there. But his step-mother stopped him and dragged him aside.   She spoke rudely to Dhruva, saying: "If you want to sit on your father's lap, you should have been born to me instead of to your mother. At least now, pray to Lord Vishnu, so that He will make this happen."   Dhruva was deeply hurt by his step- mother’s insulting words. He went to his mother, weeping. His mother consoled him and told him to take his step-mother's words seriously and pray to Lord Vishnu, who is the helper of all beings.   Dhruva left the kingdom for the forest with a determined mind to see Lord Vishnu and reach a higher place. On the way, he was met by the celestial sage Narada. Narada gave him the 12-syllable mantra:

 "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya"

for worshiping the Vishnu form of Lord Krishna. Dhruva worshipped Vishnu for six months, and Lord Vishnu appeared before him. Vishnu promised that Dhruva's wishes would be fulfilled and he would reach the highest heavenly seat of the Polestar, which is not destroyed even when all the worlds are destroyed.   Dhruva returned to the kingdom. When the King grew old, he decided to crown Dhruva as the King. Dhruva ruled for many years and in the end reached the Polestar granted by Lord Vishnu. It is said that the entire Zodiac is made up of planets, stars, etc. All rotates around the Polestar. To this day, when Indians see the Polestar, they remember Dhruva, the devotee of perfect purity of mind and firm determination.

***Secrets of Karmayoga as told by Supreme Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna***

***Secrets of Karmayoga as told by

Supreme Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna***

 Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna:
1.“I have stated a two-fold path of spiritual discipline in the past.
The path of Self-knowledge for the contemplative ones, and the path of unselfish work for all others. One does not attain freedom from bondage of Karma by merely abstaining from work. No one attains perfection by merely giving up work, because no one can remain inactive even for a moment. The forces of Nature drive everyone to action.”
2.“People get confused and think that leading a life devoted to scriptural study, contemplation, and acquiring transcendental knowledge may be better for spiritual progress than doing one’s worldly duty. A God-realized person does not consider oneself the doer of any action, but only an instrument in the hands of the Divine for His use. Both metaphysical knowledge and selfless service are means to attain the Supreme Being. These two paths are not separate, but complimentary.
O Arjuna, do your duty to the best of your ability as a service to God.”

***God of Love- Shri Krishna***

***God of Love- Shri Krishna***
God of Love- Shri Krishna is inherent in every individual soul. Due to forgetfulness of our relation with Sree Krishna, we are enveloped by the illusory energy consisting of three primal qualities— Rajah, Sattva and Tamah and pass through cycles of births, deaths and threefold afflictions. An illustration of magnet and iron is given to understand it easily. Love for God is not to be borrowed from somebody, only it is to be awakened by the company of pure bona fide devotee. We have got our actual, eternal, all kinds of love relations with Krishna. When we forget the actual relation with Krishna, we are under the false egos of this material world, having false material relations and false interests. So we find, everywhere in the Prison House— this world, severe clashing of interests. This is the greatest infliction of punishment on conditioned souls for their aversion to Supreme Lord Shri Krishna.

***Significance of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita.***

***Significance of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita.***

Adoring the Supreme Lord Shri Krishna, full of all auspiciousness without any inauspiciousness, I will summarise the conclusion known as Significance of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita.

***********************************************************
Among all scriptures the Mahabharata is the essence. Within the Mahabharata, the thousand names of Visnu known as Visnu Sahasranama in the Anusasanika Parva and Srimad Bhagavad-Gita in the Bhishma Parva are its essence. Knowledge of these surely releases one from the pangs of material existence consisting of the endless cycle of birth and death and gives one entry to the spiritual platform. There is no scripture in all of the material worlds that can compare with the 100,000 verses of Mahabharata; so how can there be anything that can even remotely be compared to Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and Visnu Sahasranama. At the request of Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa, Brahma, the demigods and the risis, the Mahabharata known as the Bharata in earlier antiquity and the Vedas were weighed on 2 scales the Bharata due to its importance and signifigance weighed heavier and thus came to be known from that time onwards as Mahabharata. Those who can comprehend its meanings are relieved of all karmic reactions in material existence.

***The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna ***

***The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna ***

1.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna, the Lord of Shri, whose essential nature is being the sole reservoir of all illustrious attributes and who is the antithesis to all that is evil as exemplified by wisdom and bliss. Who is the great ocean of the infinite, immeasuarble, exalted and innumerable glorious qualities which being part of His natural essence such as omniscience, power, sovereignity, eternality, omnipotence and splendour. Whose transcendental form is a treasure house of effulgence, beauty, lovlieness and perfection; beyond all conceptions, divine, wonderful, everlasting and invincible and sublime being immutable in accordance with His will. He is adorned with countless transcendental ornaments: varieagated, bountiful, marvelous and permanent which are perfection and worthy of Him in every respect. Who is accoutred resplendently with innumerable divine weapons agreeing with His nature, of inconceivable power, invincible, eternal and glorious.

2.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna is the beloved of Shri, also known as Laksmi-devi, who is herself quite perfect in all the multitudes of limitless, marvelous and uncountable qualities of divinity such as amiability, compassion, devotion etc. and harmonising in perfect synchronisation with His nature, form, omnipotence, majesty and opulence. He who has at feet constantly eulogizing prayers and singing hymns, countless divine beings; whose essence, being, and phenomenal works are all in accordance with His will. They delight solely in rendering service to Him, posessed as they are with of a multitude of vast, eternal, indestrucible, and sublime attributes far beyond any definitions of words or thoughts.

3.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna whose expansions and incarnations have their abode in the transcendental celestial firmament known as Vaikuntha which is indestructible and limitless and which conforms with His nature, which is expansive, unfathomable, endless and opulent. That Vaikuntha of infinite wonder, of infinte glory, of infinite majesty and of infinite omnipotence is eternal and imperishable.

4.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna by whose will and pleasure trillions of universes are dramatically displayed by projection in the material substratum in the modes of sustenation and dissolution; the universes so replete with 8,400,000 different species of life and full of so many wonderfully variegated and amazingly phenomenal creations and hosts of enjoyers thereof. He is also to be known by the names of His manifestations such as Brahman and Para Brahman, by any of His incarnations such as Rama and Buddha and by any of His expansions such as Narayana and Vasudeva.

5.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna , who is the Ultimate Truth, the Ultimate Consciousness and the Ultimate Personality, having emanated the complete cosmic manifestation from Brahma down to a blade of grass, by His own desire He withdrew within His own Self and was instantaneously completely beyond the material existence and the meditations and adorations of Brahma, the demigods and mortal beings.

6.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna being an all pervading ocean of infinite mercy with unlimited compassion, unlimited love and unlimited magnamimity, although completely transcendental to the material existence; simultaneously willed to incarnate in various material forms similar to those of His creation, without compromising His own divine transcendental nature and periodically descends as different incarnations in the material worlds as he so desires.
7.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna is always accessible to those by whom He is worshipped and receiving His mercy are granted their desires from artha which is material wealth all the way to moksa which is salvation from material existence and their aspirations are always completely fulfilled.

8.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna's main purpose for descending and incarnating is to relieve the Earth of any demoniac and negative, undesirable influences that are opposed to spiritual developement; but simultaneously at the same time it is also His incomparable intention to continuously be within reach of all humanity. To fulfill this purpose He periodically manifests Himself in the material existence so that He becomes an actual reality for all people to consciously see, hear and learn about and He personally performs such phenomenal and extraordinary pastimes that are able to captivate, inspire and enrapture the hearts and minds of all living entities high and low.

9.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna naturally delights all the worlds who are fortunate enough to learn about Him with His transcendental beauty, His eternal, spiritual form and His extraordinary phenomenal pastimes which are overflowing with the nectar of compassion and love.

10.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna under the pretext of having to persuade Arjuna to fight at the battle of Kuruksetra, agreed to accept the position of chariot driver for His devotee and took the oppurtunity to reveal again the eternal and imperishable Bhagavad-Gita which had been lost over the milleniums. By delineating karma yoga and jnana yoga which both when becoming mature blossom into bhakti yoga which is the science of the individual consciousness attaining communion with the Ultimate Cocsciousness by loving devotional service unto the Supreme Lord or through any of His sastrically authorised incarnations revealed in the Vedic scriptures.

11.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna fully described the science of bhakti yoga in the middle six chapters of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and these six chapters reveal the goal of all Vedantic teachings and by which He is irrefutably indicated as the Ultimate Reality, the best object of love for the highest good of all living entities and that loved , He Himself becomes the means to rescue a living entity from all illusory and conditioned existences.

12.The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna appeared in His original form with a view to shower benefits on the whole Earth and allowing Himself to be overpowered by the great love from His true and faithful devotee Arjuna, gave Himself to him and consenting to his desire undertook the duties as Arjunas charioteer and safely drove his surrendered devotee to victory throughout the 18 day battle of Kuruksetra as witnessed by all the universe which was inaugurated due to King Duryodhana and the Kauravas becoming antagonistic against Arjunas's family known as the Pandavas.

***Supreme Lord SHRI KRISHNA assured Arjuna***

***Supreme Lord SHRI KRISHNA assured Arjuna***

***Supreme Lord SHRI KRISHNA confirmed in Bhagavad Geeta and assured Arjuna: ***
“For those who venerate Me only, offering to me all their actions, their minds concentrated on Me and their hearts’ feelings always uplifted to me in Devotion.Such devotees,I rescue from the ocean of mortality.”

Friends,
I just try to explain it in simple words…..as the sole purpose my life is to feel Shri Krishna and fill my life with SHRI KRISHNA.
SHRI KRISHNA Says,

***Immerse your conciousness in Me alone.***

***Direct all your energy finding Me in your heart beyond any doubt.***

***I shall fill your heart with utmost Devotion***

***I assure you ,you shall come to ME***

***Shri Krishna is the Supreme Guru ***

***Shri Krishna is the Supreme Guru ***

Shri Krishna is the Supreme Guru, an embodiment of the highest form of spirituality, a source of awakening of the purpose and path of life and death, a guide to the path of salvation and self realization. We worship Him to accomplish the ultimate goal of being. For an atheist, he may only be a guideline of attaining happiness and peace in life, that would still lead him to the right destination.
In the NAMES OF THE LORD is hidden HIS SWARUPA.
In Vishnu Purana one of HIS name is SARVAASHRAYA ASHRAYA. HE IS THE EMBODIMENT / SHELTER of all shelters. Such infinite is HIS presence that he holds every thing in HIM.
HE is the creator, he is the preserver and in him is the final recess of every thing.

Please refer to Sreemad Bhagwad Geeta. Chapter 4, verse 6 and verse 9. They are self explanatory.

Also please refer to Sreemad Bhagwad Geeta (7.24). Supreme Lord Sri Krishna says, 'Unintelligent men, who do not know Me perfectly, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna, was impersonal before and have now assumed this personality. Due to their small knowledge, they do not know My higher nature, which is imperishable and Supreme.

The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna is neither impersonal not formless, but His body is non-different from Him, and therefore He is known as the embodiment of eternity, knowledge and bliss. In the Brihad-Vaishnav-tantra it is clearly mentioned that anyone who considers the form of Lord Krishna to be made of material energy must be ostracized by all means. The Supreme Lord is described as Amrita or deathless, because He has no material body.

Supreme Lord Sri Krishna mentions in Sreemad Bhagwad Geeta (7.25), 'I am never manifest to unintelligent. For them I am covered by My internal potency and therefore they do not know that I am unborn and infallible.'

***Why Supreme Lord Shri Krishna created us?***

***Why Supreme Lord Shri Krishna created us?***

Supreme Lord Shri Krishna wanted to enjoy some pastimes with us and created us. As we came from one of His energies, we inherited relative independence. Those who opted to live with Supreme Lord and enjoy there stayed in His abode. Those who wanted to enjoy themselves, away from Supreme Lord, came here.
Supreme Lord is Absolutely independent. We inherit this property from Him and are relatively independent. This free will, gives us choice to decide what we want. Many soul, sometimes want to enjoy themselves without thinking about consequences, and end up falling in this prison house.

Once we are here, material potency of Supreme Lord envelops us and we work under the spell of three modes of material nature. Sattva, Rajah, and Tamah. Under these, we tend to ignore what is good for us.

Supreme Lord is beyond the modes (gunas) of Maya. He is beyond sattva, rajah and tamah. As these are temporary. That is why He is known as Nirgun. Nirgun does not means, that He does not have any Gunas. He has transcendental gunas which are eternal in nature. That is why He is not visible to us. Once we elevate ourself beyond these material gunas, we will realize God.

***The Greatness of the Bhagabad Gita***

***The Greatness of the Bhagabad Gita***

Truly speaking nobody has the power to describe in words the Glory of Gita.It is the essence of the Vedas and its language is so simple and sweet, that man can easily understand it after a little practice of reading mindfully. But the thoughts of the Gita are so deep, even after a constant study of lifetime, its true meaning and implication can be learnt only by grace of Lord SHRI KRISHNA.Everyday essence of Gita will open new facets of Truth and remain ever fresh and New to the learners.Reading with a concentrated mind, every verse of the Gita will clearly appear as full of the deepest mystery to know the eternal truth about GOD.The manner in which the Gita describes the virtues,Glory, and secrets of GOD,not found in any other sricptures.
That is why Sri Vedavyasa, after describing the Gita in Mahabharata said in the end:--
“The Gita should be carefully studied, and after reading the text, its meaning and idea should be held and preserved in mind.It emanetad from the lotus lips of Padmanabha SHRI KRISHNA Narayan Himself, from whose navel sprung the lotus.
What is the use of studying the other elaborate scriptures?

Moreover the Lord Himself also described its Glory in the end of the Gita.

***SHRI KRISHNA and His Message in Bhgavad Geeta ***

***SHRI KRISHNA and His Message in BHAGAVAD GEETA***

“My dear Arjuna, only by undivided devotional service can I be understood as I am, standing before you, and can thus be seen directly. Only in this way can you enter into the mysteries of My understanding.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-gita, 11.54)

Sreemad Bhagavad Geeta is universally adored name and scripture. It is commonly known to everyone across the globe. But the difficulity is this: there are thousands of commentaries on the Geeta, and in these commentaries the commentators have expressed their own views. They all have different views and ordinary people are confused about the actual message of Sreemad Bhagwad Geeta.

The speaker of the Geeta is the Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna. Only those who have entered into the heart of Sri Krishna can understand the real implication and significance of His sayings and the purpose of His speech and advice. Outside people cannot understand.

Supreme Lord Sri Krishna mentions in Sreemad Bhagavad Geeta (7.7), "There is nothing superior to Me."

With emphasis, Sri Krishna says that He is the Supreme Lord. He also says in the Geeta (9.24), 'I am the only Master and the only Enjoyer of all yajnas (sacrifices). There are many verse in Sreemad Bhagwad Geeta substantiating Sri Krishna as Supreme Lord. In the Geeta (10.8), He says, 'I am the cause of all creation, the origin of all the things.' In verse (14.27), He says, 'I am the cause of the impersonal formless God (Brahm).' That impersonal, formless God is the halo of Sri Krishna's own light, emanating from Sri Krishna Himself. And so on.

Sri Krishna is the Supreme Lord. How can we know the Supreme Lord? Without His grace, no one can know Him. If anybody says, 'Yes. I can know Him.' then he will be equal to or greater than the Supreme Lord. But the Supreme Lord, Infinite and Absolute, is One. Nothing can be outside the Infinite. If you say, 'This flower is outside the Infinite,' then the Infinite becomes finite. Even particle of dust cannot be outside the Infinite, or the Absolute will lose His position. The Absolute is One. The only way to get Him is to take absolute shelter at His Lotus Feet and to act according to His will. There is no other way to get Him except by means of exclusive, pure devotion.

Therefore, only those who have surrendered to Sri Krishna, who have access to the heart of Sri Krishna, can understand the implication and significance of His teachings. Those without knowledge of Sri Krishna, who have not submitted to Sri Krishna, how can they know. They may write many commentaries, but they cannot comprehend the actual significane of the teachings of Sri Krishna.

Even Sri Arjuna took the shelter unto Sri Krishna, means he also surrendered unto Sri Krishna, before he was imparted with this divine knowledge. He says in the Geeta (2.7), 'I have lost my natural valor. I am bewildered and cannot ascertain what is right and what is wrong. I submit to you. I am your disciple. Please advise me ragarding my eternal welfare.'

Supreme Lord's transcendental glories are revealed to the heart of the bonafide votaries according to the degree of submission. Degrees of submission to God are ad-infinitum, so revelations of the glories of Divinity will also be ad-infinitum.

In spiritual world we classify the above as shant rasa, dasya rasa, sakhya rasa, vatsalya rasa and madhurya rasa. More elevated is a devotee on the spiritual platform, more he/she will understand the feelings of Supreme Lord. Hence a commentary of a pure devotee of Madhurya rasa will reveal the maximum of what Sri Krishna wants to convey through Sreemad Bhagavad Geeta.
